WHY JOIN AAC
Grower Support
AAC is establishing the premier community for hazelnut growers in our region. Our members support one another and share important insights, backed by experience, that help one another thrive. AAC offers technical support services that strengthen our members' operations
Shared Processing Facility
Growing hazelnuts is just the first step. To maximize revenue, we need to process and value- add the hazelnuts. Processing equipment is expensive. Investing in a share processing plant results in efficiencies that growers could not realize on their own. AAC also managed brand, marketing, and distribution, further reducing burden on the growers
Profit Sharing
The cooperative buys nuts from members and pays initial price per pound. After processing and selling the nuts to end users, profits are shared proportionally with the growers based upon their contribution. AAC also manages brand, marketing, and distribution, further reducing burden on the growers
Ownership and Voting Rights
As a member-owned cooperative, our members have ownership and voting rights. Members participate in the governance of the cooperative and help determine its trajectory.
